I improve peoples lives. This is why I started Renshi Consulting Group and why I enjoy my job so much. In my youth I loved team sports. Football, rugby, and to some extent basketball, were highlights of my high school years. (basketball "to some extent" because of no contact). They were highlights because I enjoyed accomplishing things as a team. I enjoyed the team camaraderie from victories, heightened, because we had experienced the agonies of defeat. Together, as a team. At University I didn't participate in groups and it was a lonely time for me. I enjoyed the learning and devoured books. I loved the learning. But I yearned to get out in the working world to get things done. When I graduated, I joined the family construction firm and worked my way up from foreman to Project Manager, to Business Development/Estimating. Next I started my first company, a roofing accessory products manufacturer. Groups became a priority again. I joined a number of provincial and national associations as well as toastmaster and peer coaching groups.
