Axl Rose Has A Wonderful Halloween Tradition

Two words: Halloween tree! He says "it's one of the most evil things I've ever done."

Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose turned up on last night's Jimmy Kimmel Live for his first live television interview in 20 years. He talked about his famous struggles with punctuality and his pre-Appetite For Destruction gig as the manager of a video store. He also kinda-sorta endorsed Barack Obama and brought cheeseburgers for everyone in the studio audience. Okay, okay, okay, cool, cool, cool. The really interesting thing was the revelation that Axl puts up a Halloween tree every year for the children of his friends and family.

    Here's some photographic evidence:

"It's one of the most evil things I've ever done," he told Kimmel. "We have these Halloween parties, and I decided, let's have a Halloween tree. So we did the tree and put out presents, families come with their little kids, and the little kids stand there and I go 'Oh, you don't have a Halloween tree?' and they go 'Nooooo,' and I'd give them a present. And then their parents would call me for about three months, 'You son of a...'"

Rose also mentioned that he once dressed up as a giant ear of corn for Halloween, which may lead us halfway to an explanation for why a "sexy corn" costume exists.

Here's the full interview with Rose, in three parts. He talks about the Halloween tree in the second clip.
