Why Did Facebook Ban This Australian Flag Design?

Yesterday a prominent Aboriginal rights page received notification from facebook that their very own Australian flag design breached "Facebooks community standards"!!

So What standards were breached??

After this flag design was released just over 2 weeks ago there was a lot of discussion about how unifying it was by incorporating 3 flags into 1, in a very simple way. This new design replaces the Union jack with the Aboriginal flag and also includes the traditional Torres Strait headdress from the Torres Strait islander flag below.

Why was it Banned???

There was no explanation from facebook about which community standard was breached and there was also no offer to appeal the decision.

Did the image breach copyright?

No, this image was designed by Blackfulla revolution and created by a professional graphic designer who volunteers his services for free.

Was the design offensive? Not at all

Is Facebook racist against Aboriginal people?

Some people have suggested that this may be the case but after discussing what happened on the popular Facebook group "100,000 Aussies against racism" it was suggested that this action by Facebook was an automated response after the picture had been reported many times.

Why was this image reported?

Well the prominent Aboriginal Facebook page that designed this flag is called "Blackfulla Revolution" it has been running since April this year and in the last few weeks, the number of supporters has been increasing by a thousand or more each week! This movement is actually challenging the very legitimacy for Australia to exist as a country.

For the colonial government to say they have every right to claim ownership of Australia is very wrong. All legal rights are in favour of the first Australians (The Aboriginals) and the government knows it, together with all of the people who report everything that is posted on this page every single day!

To put it simply.....They are SCARED, they want to silence this revolution and Facebook has given in to them. It will only take a few more images to be removed before Facebook will SHUT THE PAGE DOWN, just because the majority of illegal colonial settlers don't want to let Aboriginals have the human right of self determination.

Come on Facebook, A LIE DOESN'T BECOME TRUTH JUST BECAUSE IT IS ACCEPTED BY THE MAJORITY! WHERE ARE YOUR MORAL STANDARDS?

The truth is Blackfulla Revolution wants to create a better society for all Australians Black and White and every shade in between, by finding a balance between modern an traditional societies.

We are driven by pride for our land, preservation of our culture and the dignity of our Ancestors.

We have the longest continuing culture on the planet, we survived the last ice age, its obvious we hold the key to the worlds survival.
