While some of these things can certainly come across as obnoxious, these people probably didn’t intend for their pregnancy announcements to be copy and pasted onto Buzzfeed. Also, the “we’re pregnant” thing bugs. SHE’s pregnant. HE’s not. YOU’RE BOTH going to be parents though. That said, it doesn’t bother me as much when it’s someone I actually care about saying it.

I think the ‘we’re’ pregnant thing is a bit twee. Presumably only *one* of you is pregnant. But then I’m no great authority on things like this. I’m capable of being happy for friends/family when they discover they’re going to be parents, but it begins and ends there for me. The first time I posted some baby pics on facebook some girl I hadn’t seen in 6 years commented “OMG I didn’t even see when you announced you were pregnant!” That’s because I didn’t “announce” it. I told people I actually knew in person and I assumed people I don’t really know don’t care.
