1. You know you’ll be seeing family on vacation. You brace yourself for the onslaught of significant others.
2. You play nice while you meet and politely catch up with your fam's SO's.
3. But then your mom/aunt/grandma starts calling for photos.
4. You officially become a third wheel.
5. Inevitably an aunt or estranged cousin asks if you have a boyfriend.
6. As if on instinct, they respond: "That's okay."
7. Every so often gay marriage comes up in conversation, at which point family members will oh-so-casually mention how okay they are with it.
8. Your mom starts giving you makeup tips. Your confidence begins to waver.
9. And then someone utters the dreaded: "Oh, I know this great boy who’d be just perfect for you.”
10. You start to break down. You can't take it anymore.
11. You realize you've accepted your fate. So who cares what everyone else thinks?
12. Besides, you know you don't need to have an SO to be fabulous.
