Paul Notice is an American journalist and filmmaker based in New York. He is a proud St. Louis native and oldest son of an ornery Jamaican businessman and sweet Midwest teacher. This is his official page. Paul spent his undergraduate years at Georgetown University and his earned his MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU. Some of Paul's written works include “Nicole and Anthony,” which featured in the Kennedy Center’s Page-to-Stage Festival, as well as the University of San Diego’s 2009 Baldwin New Play Festival. In 2009, Paul received the Dr. Richard Floyd Gaffney Award for Playwriting in the African American Experience. Another piece, Shoshana’s Coin, featured in the Black Theatre Ensemble’s Mzizi Festival, NYU’s 2010 Ten-Minute Play Festival and Tisch’s Goldberg Theatre Drama Lab. One of Paul's more recent short plays, “You Can’t Die Here,” featured in the Culture Project’s 2012 Impact Festival. His most recent short play "The Art of Dyeing," premiered with Ugly Rhino Production Co. in August 2013. One of Paul's recent works "Leaves, Trees, Forest" debuted in Chicago with MPAACT, which is currently nominated for the Black Theatre Alliance Award for Best Playwriting and Production of 2013. Presently, Paul's newest play "Willow," a dark satire about Social Dwarnism, will be performed in Winter 2013. Paul’s recent acting work includes the Dom Jon in Random Access Theater's Porteguese version of "Much Ado About Nothing," Nelson in the audio series "The Time And Future Nerd," and a featured appearance in American Candy's "Battle of the Sexes." Paul also performed in Passage Theatre’s “Samuel J and K,” and the 2010 GLAAD Award-Winning “She Like Girls.” Other performances include the sci-fi comedy series “Nine Planets From the Sun,” Rakesh Burrah's romantic comedy "Gosling," and Larry Bao's "We Will Prevail." In August 2013, Recently, he performed in "The King's Whore" at Walkerspace Theatre as George Bolelyn. In the Winter of 2013, Paul will be performing in his latest written work, a dark satire about revenge called "Willow."
