One thing you don't expect to see when checking into a budget hotel is a bedraggled fox that, for some reason, has been painted blue.
Yet that's what guest Scott Farnell saw and tweeted from the Travelodge in Woolwich last week, near the hotel bar. The animal was lured out with Doritos.
Farnell arrived at 9pm last Thursday to see the fox just hanging out in the lobby. The receptionist rang the RSPCA but got no answer, he said. It took about half an hour to entice it outside.
But more importantly, why was it blue? Maybe it had fallen into a chemical toilet, suggested one person.
Leicester City's mascot, Filbert the Fox, is both blue and a fox. Maybe Leicester fans did it?
