According to Billboard, 1989 is projected to sell well over 900,000 copies in its first week. Possibly one million. If this becomes the case, Swift will become the only artist to have three albums that have sold one million+ in their first week. Red (2012) sold 1.21 million and Speak Now (2010) sold 1.05 million in their first weeks, respectively.

4. 1989 has been met with great reviews.
