Student Success Centre

The Student Success Centre offers a variety of programs, such as the Leadership Education Program, that help you develop leadership skills outside of the classroom, while gaining valuable professional experience for the ‘real’ world. Nervous about your upcoming job interview? Want your cover letter and resume to stand out? Containing a number of student services including the Registrar’s Office, Financial Aid, Psychological Services and The Office of the Ombudsperson, Western Student Services Building is a one-stop convenience to Western students. Are you finding lectures difficult to grasp and that exams are stressing you out? The Student

Development Centre offers several programs that provide tips that will help you succeed academically during your time at university. The Student Development Centre also runs learning skills workshops (such as “Preparing for Multiple-choice Tests”) and offer drop-in sessions at the Learning Help Centre where you can meet one-on-one with a learning skills counsellor. The Student Development Centre is located in the Western Student Services Building (WSS). As an added bonus, it’s free to all full-time Western students! Be sure to take advantage of this magnificent rec centre - it’ll probably be one of the nicest gyms you’ll ever visit! Whether you want to drop-in for a spin class, go for a swim, or use the treadmill to work some cardio into your routine, the WSRC provides endless opportunities for students to stay fit and have fun at the same time. Be sure to also sign-up for the WSRC’s Intramurals!

International and Exchange Student Centre (IESC)

Are you an international or exchange student? Do you want to connect with students from other countries? Want to know more about Canada? The International and Exchange Student Centre offers a variety of programs, providing you the opportunity to connect with other international and exchange students, improve your knowledge of the English language, and obtain an overall grasp of Canadian culture. The IESC is located on the second floor of the International and Graduate Affairs Building (beside UC Hill). Libraries

Did you know that Western has eight, yes EIGHT, libraries on campus! Not only do these libraries make great study spaces, but they also contain individual study rooms that you can reserve for study groups with friends or to work on group projects. If D.B. Weldon Library and the Allyn and Betty Taylor Library (located in Natural Sciences building) are packed during midterm and exam season, be sure to check out the Music Library, Education Library, John and Dotsa Bitove Family Law Library, Archives and Research Collections Centre, C.B. “Bud” Johnston Library (the Business Library), the Map and Data Centre or the beautiful Huron and King’s Libraries. Ontario Hall

As the newest member of Western's residence family, Ontario Hall not only houses 1000 first-year students, but it also contains Western's Residence Housing Offices, the Residence Counsellor Chris Mellon, an Off-Campus Housing Office and the Wellness Centre.
