You may have lost the connection with KIPP since middle school or high school. Your KIPP experience may not have been so great. You may think that you made it out of high school so you don't need KIPP anymore. Well, here are 5 reasons to change your mind.

5. College is not easy!

If you thought grade school was hard, think again. College is when the real struggles begin and life takes off! There is no doubt that college is hard but with the right support, it can be the most challenging and FUN experience you've ever had.

4. We won't look at you weird for humming chants in class!

No matter how much you try to forget middle school chants, you just can't. "I've heard from a little ole bird" stills works in college math and during those allnighters in Founders library, "Read, Baby, Read!" is the ultimate motivation. Face it! Being KIPPmatized is good thing when it comes to doing math homework if nothing else!

3. We know people. The right people!

Navigating through campus and finding campus resources are tough if you don't know where to start. Plus, sometimes it's not what you know, it's who you know. Knowing your college ambassador and the KTC team can definitely be a plus when, for instance, you're about to be purged because Howard messed up your financial aid. Or, you're having roommate problems!

2. The cafe food gets boring and eating out is expensive!

College students are mostly broke because the price of food is too expensive! These events will either have free food or snacks and who can argue with FREE? Nobody. Why not enjoy eating at the expense of people who actually care, while learning information that is beneficial to you even after college is over.

Even though we are in college now, our KIPP past still remains. It doesn't matter if your experience was "good" or "bad".
