7 Signs The Wage Gap Is Played Out

How we know that the gender wage gap is so two-thousand and late. By Amanda Hooper, Gail Zuagar, and Katie Hegarty, cross-posted from NWLC's blog.

The wage gap barely budged in over a decade and the latest data show that women working full time, year round only make 78 cents for every dollar a man makes. To give you an idea of how long ago that is, here are some things that were popular back in the early 2000's.

    1. "Mean Girls" made its debut.

    2. "Friends" was still on the air.

    3. “Yeah!” by Usher topped the charts.

    4. “Anchorman” was kind of a big deal.

    5. Ashton Kutcher was punking Hollywood.

    6. Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton let us tag along on “The Simple Life.”

    7. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted Weekend Update.

It’s pretty clear from this nostalgia overload that times have changed.
