14 Probs When You Live At The Beach Year-Round

told by Outer Banks local Twifordoodle. This year we learned that living on the beach year-around is ruff. It's hard out here for a pup, you know? With only 30,000 local residence in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, we've been discovering new ways to keep busy until tourist season stampedes us once again! Here's OBX from Twiford's point of view...

    1. Things get a little slow during off season, so you resort to less productive yet equally fulfulling tasks.

    2. You never know when you might meet your one true beach babe. But your hair and the elements don't always get along.

    3. Then you meet a girl and share some romantic moments, but chances are she's only here for the summer.

    4. Still you live at the beach and that's awesome!

    5. You try to stay active. But without the tourists there are a bunch of shells that get in the way.

    6. You have to choose between sunrise over the ocean or sunset over the sound. Or both!

    7. You walk regularly to take in the sights. But one wrong turn and you're stuck on a sandbar.

    8. Your parents have expectations of what you should be doing. But you're enjoying exploring all the possibilities that come with living at the beach.

    9. Sometimes they even join in the beach fun.

    10. Then the water starts getting cold...

    11. Your friends start heading to warmer (or colder) climates.

    12. You may start feeling a little blue.

    13. Before you know it spring sneaks up on you!

    14. Then you remember no matter the season - life is good at the beach!
