    Two New York City political candidates, Eliot Spitzer for comptroller and Anthony Weiner for mayor, are hoping to convince New Yorkers that they are worth political redemption. Lucky for them, Americans have a history of forgiveness when it comes to politicians and their sex scandals. Whether it's the acceptance of Bill Clinton as a respectable figure or the reelection of South Carolina governor Mark Sanford, it's possible to make a comeback.
