California Decriminalizes Simple Pot Possession
The Governator signed Senate Bill 1449 into law. If you're caught with less than an ounce of weed, it's an infraction (no court appearance, $100 fine) instead of a misdemeanor.This is because California is broke and can't afford to prosecute over non-dealing 60,000 stoners a year.
