Philippine artist Mary Ann Licudine (a.k.a. MALL) created this gorgeous painting featuring Japanese-animator Hayao Miyazaki's iconic characters.
The piece is called "Celebrate Your Inner Child" and it's a 15.5" x 15.5" painting made with gouache (opaque watercolor paint) and acrylic paints on hand-textured wood board.
"Before creating the artwork, I whipped up some animated [sketches] of all the Studio Ghibli characters," MALL tells BuzzFeed. "After that, I started drawing it on my wood panel directly."
"While watching all Miyazaki films, I was observing everything, like, detailed backgrounds, colors, characters, etc."
According to MALL, it took her approximately a month to complete the painting while she recovered from abdominal surgery.
The piece features over 30 Hayao Miyazaki characters from such Studio Ghibli films as Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Special Delivery, and many more.
The painting was part of The Time In Between group show at the Bear and Bird Boutique + Gallery in Lauderhill, Florida.
