• #5 is a backpacker's pack, I believe. Wide shoulder straps, a sternum strap, and a wide hip belt would cause that (or a similar) pattern.

  • “Your ass belongs to the government, even a general.” /facepalm Nobody's “ass belongs to the government,” not even a general's. If you badmouth your boss in the private sector, bad stuff happens to you as well. The rules are a little different in the military, but it's wildly inaccurate to present it in an owner / is-owned paradigm.

  • @Paul B: You mean the salad bowl on the counter? Knowing cats, I suspect that the bananas (and that Mango) used to go in the bowl before the cat decided it was a nice place to sleep.

  • “My conditioners and shampoos are my fertilizers. Do not use them. You are like the patio next to the flower. You need a hose and a brush.” If your shampoos and conditioners are fertilizer, I don't plan to use them. Thankfully, I have my own lemongrass goat's milk soap and organic tea tree shampoo to use. And stay away from my alpine spruce essential oil. This whole list is inane.

  • Response to Miss Atom:

This is picking a pretty small nit, but the term “thermonuclear” refers to nuclear fusion, which hasn't yet been harnessed for energy production. Wikipedia the ITER.
