7 Ways You Can Help Iraq's Indigenous Christians

The terrorist group IS is wreaking havoc over Iraq's Assyrian Christians, forcing them out of their indigenous lands they have lived in for thousands of years. Don't feel helpless! 3. Make A Phone Call

Take a minute to contact your US Representatives and to urge them to cosponsor H.CON.RES.110, a resolution "Calling for urgent international intervention on behalf of Iraqi Christians and religious minority communities facing a dire humanitarian crisis and severe persecution in the Nineveh Plain region of Iraq."

The resolution calls for working with the United Nations Security Council to facilitate immediate and urgent international humanitarian assistance to Iraqi civilians trapped in desperate circumstances in the Nineveh Plain region, the ancient home of Assyrians. I know what you're thinking, changing my profile picture won't save anyone. You're right.

But the only thing worse than what is occurring in Iraq is that it is going largely unseen. The power of social media allows us to change that and inform the world of what is happening.
