HE IS THE FATHER!
Chris Brown has officially confirmed his paternity to baby Royalty via Instagram just a little over a month after the story broke about his secret child.
When the news of his love child became public Chris Brown fans were left in limbo with tons of unofficial reports and unanswered questions. The singer never gave a definitive answer of whether or not the baby was in fact his, but in a bold display of affection on Instagram he comes clean calling her God's blessing and his twin. The Loyal singer who has been dating model, Karrueche Tran, for the past five years was obviously singing about himself in the song.
Here's the Backstory
On February 27, 2015 Karrueche Tran posted a tweet to Twitter (below) that meant absolutely nothing to unsuspecting fans of the couple.
According to internet reports Karrueche's tweet was a response to an itinerary she received by accident, that was supposed to go to an unknown person named Nia.
On March 4, 2014 TMZ broke the story of Chris Brown's baby with long time friend Nia Guzman-Amey. Apparently Brown would have Karrueche and his baby's mother flown out to visit him on tour at different times then one day Brown's road manager accidentally sent Karrueche the wrong itinerary which sparked her tweet inquiring about the identity of someone named Nia. Reports allege that Chris Brown knew about the baby long before the news became public. Allegedly the singer was an active participant in baby Royalty's life flying out to see her occasionally and even bringing her and her mom on tour with him.
A source tells People.com that Karrueche had no knowledge of the baby and was completely blindsided. Hours after the story broke Karrueche confirmed it by publicly ending her relationship with Brown via Twitter,
"Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me. 👶" -Karrueche 03/04/15
As the story unfolds of course everyone wanted to know: who is Nia Guzman-Amey? Well, it was confirmed through pictures that she was a friend of the couple and even partied with them in Vegas (below).
Nia Guzman-Amey is a former model in her thirties from Texas. She was married during her pregnancy and is the mother of a 13-year-old daughter she shares with her, now, ex-husband. Apparently her and Brown have been friends for years, it is unclear when their relationship became romantic, but an interview done by her ex-husband revealed that her pregnancy is the reason he filed for divorce.
Since finding out about the baby Karrueche has stayed far away from Brown and can be seen surrounded by friends at different social events. She did an interview with Iyanla Vanzant in March where she discussed her relationship with Brown and her plans to move forward without him. In the tearful sit-down Tran describes the constant disrespect from Brown and expresses that she still loves him. She wants other females to learn from her mistakes and plans to make better decisions in the future regarding her love life.
Brown described watching her interview as "gut-wrenching" and vows to be a better person.
