Why Driver Ed In A Box Is Actually The Worst

For every spry young teen learning how to drive from this universally detested program.

Hey 15 year olds, are you excited about being able to drive freely and without parental guidance?

Think again. The new frontier of unsupervised driving is not yet yours for the exploring. You're about to start Driver Ed in a Box.

You're gonna get this in your stocking this year. But do not be fooled by the brightly colored packaging. It is a cruel trick.

Trust us. We've been there. This thing is deplorable.

You will be subjected to countless hours of torture.

There will be so many quizzes. There will be so many videos. There will be so many curbs that you just didn't see. And there will be so many times you wish your Dad would just let you listen to the radio. But it is not to be.

Like, there are training mirrors. And stickers. And your parents WILL put them on your car. Your embarrassment is their priority, never forget that.

But don't fret for long. There is hope at the conclusion of your Driver Ed in a Box experience.

Besides the magic that surrounds actually being able to get your license, the end of Driver Ed in a Box means the end of program essays.

These essays are a stunningly wonderful gift, yall. We like to believe that the author of the program put them there specifically for you to let out your pent up frustration and anger. For example:

And just in case you need some more inspiration...

Feel free to use the above essays as templates, though we do suggest that you include your own personal anecdotes so that you may create more genuine feedback!

A note from my extraordinarily sassy sister and the author of the example essays: "This is what happens when they make me write a stupid essay about my experience. A formal paragraph with a witty, sarcastic undertone that they had better pick up on."
