    The new “Fair Elections Act” is a bill moving through the Canadian House of Commons right now, moved by Conservative MP Pierre Poillievre. If passed then it will require all voters to show ID to receive a ballot, including proof of address (POA).

    By removing vouching and eliminating Voter Information Cards as proof of address, the Fair Elections Act could prevent 120,000 to 500,000 Canadians from being able to vote. Here's a list of all the stuff you can do in Canada without showing POA just for comparison.
