The Wildest NFL Game Of The Year Had Everything

Dallas versus Denver featured almost a thousand yards passing, weird Jerry Jones clapping, speechless wives, a lost cameraman...

Sunday's matchup between the Denver Broncos and the Dallas Cowboys ended up as the fourth-highest scoring game in NFL history. The final score was 51-48 and the shootout ended on a last-second field goal which kept the Broncos undefeated. It was pretty crazy. Let's take a look at how it all went down.

Tony Romo and the Cowboys got things started with a seven-minute drive capped by this fantastic Dez Bryant touchdown.

After a Broncos fumble, the Cowboys got the ball back and Romo displayed some fancy footwork while scrambling for his life before connecting with Witten for a super cool first down that should have totally been worth, like two points or something.

But Peyton Manning came back and was like, "Shovel pass, bitches."

And then led the Broncos on a 71-yard drive that ended on a sweet little spin catch by Eric Decker in the end zone to pull the game within 3.

After a Dez Bryant fumble, the Broncos got the ball back and took the lead on Manning's third touchdown pass of the first half.

And believe it or not, but the Broncos would score again just before half when Peyton Manning faked out the Dallas D (and the camera man and everyone watching the game) and scored a RUSHING TOUCHDOWN. WITH HIS LEGS!

Crazy, right? I know, football is like that sometimes. Anyway, things got really interesting midway through the third quarter when Romo found Terrance Williams for an 82 yard touchdown pass, as if to say, "Yeah, I brought my big boy pants. Let's do this, Eli's brother."

Which obviously made Jerry Jones super happy because he loves big boy pants.

And just as the third quarter was winding down, Romo found Dez Bryant for his second touchdown reception of the day.

At this point, Jerry Jones and his crew were frickin' ecstatic, especially the guy in the blue shirt.

And then Tony Romo was all, "Oh, you like that? Check this out," and hooked up with Bryant on this 79-yard bomb to set up ANOTHER touchdown.

And even though that wasn't a touchdown pass, Tony Romo's wife couldn't believe it and almost fainted, all cute-like.

The Broncos would tie it up late, though, and when the Cowboys got the ball back, ready to start their two-minute drill, Tony Romo did the unthinkable — or the super predictable, depending on how you look at it — and threw an interception on his own 24-yard line.

And, of course, the Broncos burned down the clock and kicked a game-winning field goal as time expired, because they are a ruthless perfection machine.

All in all, Romo finished with 506 yards and five touchdowns, breaking the Cowboys franchise record of 460 yards, while becoming just the fifth quarterback in NFL history to pass for at least 500 yards and five touchdowns in a single game. His counterpart, Manning, threw for 414 yards, accounted for five touchdowns, and moved past Dan Marino for second on the career passing list with 61,371 yards. It was an awesome game. And also exhausting. Moving forward, Denver remains undefeated, Dallas is 2-3 but probably still the favorite to win the NFC East, and the guy from Jerry Jones' box in the blue shirt is probably staring at a ceiling somewhere thinking about what might have been.
