I don’t see the big deal… yeah he’s a kid, but kids have been used as suicide bombers and child soldiers in other countries. Drugs have been smuggled onto planes inside dead babies. I’m thinking too deep for this thread, but what if that kid actually had a bomb? We think extra security is crazy now, but what if it had prevented 9/11? How grateful were we to see extra security at the airports in the days after 9/11? I don’t think we need a kid with a hoodie bomb to remind us of that. Because if he had a bomb… this entire thread would be different. Don’t be ungrateful! Yes, the procedure sucks! (and needs to be improved) but for a few extra minutes, the TSA may have just saved your life

I think that this is so redicious! Little kids should never be subjected to anything like this. Neither should the elderly or people who have or had cancer. This is so not right. We should have the say if we someone to touch like that or not. Our rights are being invaded even more.

@JonWithoutAnH That isn’t a company doing it’s security. It’s the federal government. I wouldn’t be worried about a company doing this. I can choose not to use them. When a government assumes a right such as searching without probable cause it deserves exactly the scrutiny it’s getting. We decide if we are for it or against it by using this information. Both sides will always blow things out of proportion.

Kids should be searched just as much as any adult. Who knows when a sick eff terrorist might decide to wire up their kid as the bomb?

His guardian was standing right behind him, so if he had a problem with it, don’t you think he would have done something other than just stand there?
