I think gay people should have 100% of the same rights as straight people. 100%. But I’m not sure this is a great idea, it’s a bit off putting. I would say that in general people open mouth kissing (regardless of their orientation) is a bad way to get people to rally to your cause….it’s a good way to hold a protest that says “hey, we’re here and deal with”, but it doesn’t really say “hello, we’re here and we’re and we’re just like you”.  My thing is this, it’s a great punk rock sort of a protest, but I support gay rights and I don’t think this is a great idea. I appreciate that gay people will say “hey, we don’t wanna see you kiss either!”….. well duh! that’s why I don’t do it as a way to support a cause… And if you think about it, I thought the whole point was to take the out the preoccupation with the physical aspect of sexual orientation. You’re supposed to be thinking…”hey, that soldier is gay but he’s just as good as any other soldier, not, hey that soldier has sex with men”.

I can hardly wait until the day when two guys kissing is no longer so offensive that it can be used as ammunition.
