My response to Brian, in case anyone else is interested: Yes, I'm perfectly aware Africanized bees can make honey too, and, in fact, are sometimes preferred by beekeepers as they are of a hardier strain than their more docile European fellows. Regardless of whether these are European bees or their hyper-defensive African counterparts, my point was that they had taken over this house to the point that THERE IS NO POINT in trying to salvage the house, as it will have to be demolished at this rate. So they might as well try to safely relocate the hive than just killing them all, considering bees in the Americas - all of them - have lost half their population in the last 35 years. I think their pollination duties are more important than a measly house. You also clearly know nothing about store-bought honey, much of which is sourced from abroad, bypassing a lot of inspection, and, if you're lucky, does not have a mixture of corn syrup or other contaminants (look up honey recalls). *And, considering many store brands of honey are not local and instead blends, if one source is contaminated, all of it is.
