Honestly, I LOVE this. Coming from a straight seventeen year old Wiccan too. I was jumping for joy when this was announced. I have alot of “gay” and “lesbian” friends, and I couldn’t be more happy that the tides of change are finally moving and allowing acceptance for people who are judged daily by what they feel and who they love. To those people who are prejudice over one little and amazingly correct sign, and to the sanction of marriages between two men or women, honestly you can keep putting all these things down wherever you want and say all those things you can go ahead. You’re speaking to an empty audience when you’re trying to sway those on the other side. Honestly, you’re only fueling us to keep OUR beliefs strong and not let forces like you make us crumble. I will continue supporting Same Sex MARRIAGE. Since that is what it is too ME. MARRIAGE. Since MY religion and MY thoughts are for it. The dictionary will be changed and revised, and someday we will probably see a definition saying “A union of two beings under the eyes of their deity and state”. After all many years ago Pagans was a term synonymous with people from the country or rednecks but now it means people from other religions not publicly accepted. Someday I hope that too will change.
Oh, and P.S. if my dog/cat/goldfish/tree can state verbally and on paper they want to get married and I feel the same way and the state condones it I guess I’ll be marrying them. Though for right now they aren’t talking and I’m not in love with my kitty.
And, I welcome all replies/flames/etc for this, but I really don’t care what you say since its not going to change me. Nor is it going to change those who have the same views on this as me…
