This Man Is Changing The Autumn Game With His Patio-Cleaning Drone

The drone might be happy to help, it's difficult to tell.

This is Mike Schreurs, a 32-year-old videographer from Holladay, Utah.

Faced with the constant battle against autumn leaves collecting on his patio, Schreurs became a man with a plan.

A man with an unusual plan.

A man with an unusual plan, and a drone.

"I came up with the idea a few days ago while practising with my drone," Schreurs told BuzzFeed News. "I noticed some leaves being pushed around and was giddy like a kid."

"On Sunday, I looked out the window and saw more leaves on the patio so I grabbed my camera and thought about making a funny short about leaves and using your drone."

The pioneering idea hasn't caught on yet in Schreurs' area but one neighbour was "enthralled" by the flying robot.

"A FedEx delivery driver asked for a demo one day last week."

If you're looking to get your drone handy with the housework, Schreurs has some wise advice for you:

"Not all leaves will be as easily swayed by a drone. Flying low, use light control on the stick and be careful to not hit anything or anyone. And buy a better broom."
