Synopsis (Archie Comics): 'A Kiss isn't Just a Kiss!'-We've all heard of PDA (public displays of affection), and how sometimes it's appropriate, but other times it goes too far. When Kevin gives Devon a simple goodbye kiss, reactions ignite in peculiar fashion. And when one person overreacts, the debate begins: what's appropriate and what is not. What's even more surprising is who's on Kevin's side of the debate - and it's not someone who you would think! So pucker up, and enjoy the next chapter of Kevin's adventures in Riverdale!

My thoughts: I really liked the story! Its good to see Kevin in a relationship and it's also interesting that he has a boyfriend who is still trying to figure himself and his family's relationships out. But I think what's best about the comic book is that the story makes light of the real life controversy Kevin Keller caused when he was first created.

Dan Parent said during his HuffPost Live interview that the plot was supposed to poke fun at the One Million Moms situation in which the group wanted Kevin Keller ousted from the RIverdale lineup. The story does more than just merely poke fun, however. It skewers One Million Moms while endeavoring to teach them some morals. It also shows that while some people--the mom who is the head of the Riverdale version of One Million Moms--don't really change or are too far gone to change, the younger generation--like the woman's young daughter--are completely different from their bigoted elders. Finally, it also shows that while some members of the older generation can't or don't change, some people do, just like Devon's dad, who can accept his son even though he's still coming to terms with his son's sexuality.

I've got a lot more to say when it comes to Archie, Valerie and canon, read this.

P.S. Kevin goes on Ellen DeGeneres' show. Just read go and read it. GO AND READ IT!
