No need to get your panties in a knot people: 1. Except for the (really bad) 1994-era digital animation shot, every shot of the Titanic in this trailer has been lifted from previous films. And *if* they have the rights to actually use those shots in the final film, it only drives point #2 home:
2) This is being done by The Asylum—the same people responsible for Snakes on a Plane, War of the Worlds II, etc. Suggest ways to make it even cheesier, and given half a chance they'll probably try to add it to the film. The Asylum seems to operate with the belief that really, really bad is best not when it winks and nudges you so you know it's in on the joke too, but when it's spewing lines like “Looks like history's repeating itself.” Not my cup of tea, but it'll be straight to video anyway. Any publicity it gets will only be because people take it seriously and get outraged enough to ask 50 of their closest friends whether or not they've heard about that sequel to Titanic they're making…
