The ones involving celebrity are totally true… I'm glad the tides seem to be turning back to where there's a wider range of sizes & shapes in the media, finally. Bring on the diversity, from Christina Hendricks to Melissa McCarthy, from older to younger and every ethnic background. As long as women are healthy and happy, that alone should be considered beautiful. In terms of the old artworks, a lot of them are religious iconography, so “hot” isn't really a factor. “Ideals of beauty and virtue”, perhaps, but sex appeal? Not so much.
