Unsolved Mysteries was all around scary. It had the creepiest theme song

I was absolutely terrified of this show when I was a kid. Even as an adult I still get the deep down heebie jeebies. One night not that long ago I woke up to the sound of Robert Stacks voice and I laid in my bed in a cold sweat. It turned out my boyfriend was watching The Beavis and Butthead movie. THAT’S WHAT HE DOES TO ME!

This show scared the shit out of my when I was a kid.

Every time my parents decided to leave me at home for a little while to take care of my younger brother and sister, this show magically seemed to be airing that same evening. Robert Stack’s narration was unsettling, and the show itself made it seem as though it was an everyday thing for three or four people to be found hanging in an isolated corn field with unexplained symbols scrawled across their bodies, or for a few random families to disappear without a trace after an apparent home invasion. Scared the crap outta me every damn time.

I loved Unsolved Mysteries because sometimes it was just a little bit scary. Like it might be about ghosts or aliens. I tried to watch it as an adult but it just didn’t give me that same creepy thrill. :(

i used to play sick as a kid just to stay home, chug dr pepper and an enjoy lifetime’s marathon of unsolved mysteries. god i miss those days.
