Turns out, though, that most boys don't want the “pink stuff,” as the little girl accurately says (before she is corrected by her father.) Every kid is different, and all kids should be encouraged to play with whatever toys interest them. But even when a wide range of toys are available, most of the kids choosing to play with the “pink stuff” will be girls, and most of the kids running around making gun noises and turning wooden blocks into trucks and spaceships will be boys.
