25 Dumbest Comments On Lowe’s Facebook Page About “All-American Muslim”
You don’t have to be Christian to be an American. That is all.
“All-American Muslim” is a new series on TLC (The Learning Channel) that follows five Muslim families living in Dearborn, Michigan.
Lowe’s pulled all of their advertising from the show because a Christian Evangelical group was angry about the network’s positive portrayal of Muslim culture.
Mike Jafaar, a police officer, and his family are one of the five followed in the show.

And to all you haters out there a true christian loves all of God’s children not hates on those who have different beliefs.My bible says to love one another and that only God can judge!! this photo is of CHRISTIAN’S in Cairo forming a holding hands to form a chain link circle around MUSLIM’s as they pray in the middle of the city! Seems they got it RIGHT! My question is that if America is one of the youngest most modern country’s WHY are we so behind in our times? I am so completley over ignorance and people who have no reguard for others, it makes me sick. Just because you are Muslim it doesn’t make you a terrorist, if you are born in AMERICA you are AMERICAN no if’s and’s or butt’s! … and aren’t all people that read the Torah/Bible supossed to “Love Thy Neighbor”? How ignorant are you…Nobody forced anything on you. YOU have the choice to change the channel, We have the freesom of religion here so let them have it. wildaf2 a year agoIt’s really is dismaying to this American who is christian to read that there are so many people who call themselves american who evidently don’t realize or care that there are americans of many different religions. Being truly american means having respect for others no matter who they are or how they worship. I for one will find it hard to shop at a store that gives in to the bigoted far right. What will Lowes do if those evangelical christians decide they don’t like Jews or Catholics…

Mandy N. a year agoIt’s unfortunate that people see things the way they do. These fundamentalists don’t seem to realize that by being Christians who hate non-Christians they are no better than Jewish people who hate Muslims or Muslims who hate Christians. It’s all religious fanaticism because those in the minority of a religion think they’re in the right and everyone else has it wrong. In the end they all believe in God, he just has a different name. The Bible, the Koran and the Torah are in essence the same stories just told/recorded by different people with their own viewpoint of what went down thousands of years ago. In the end the message is always the same, respect yourself and respect others, lead a good life and treat others as you wish to be treated.

Dick Balls a year agoStraight up, I think all religions are ideals that are just literature that people accidentally mistook for being real, but I don’t think that religion is a bad thing. But I do think it’s ironic that people hate on Christian for hating on Muslims. Of course they are going to hate each other if they are true believers — I believe both of their books command it. Who cares if Lowe’s supports some stupid show, and who cares if Lowe’s pulled the add because some people complained. People are forgetting the true issue this country is facing… Aliens.
