Every time I hear this song I think it's the greatest song in the world…today was no exception.

The narrative of the video seems to be out of sync with that of the song, which is perfect just as it is (aside from begging the question of why he'd bother falling in love with a shallow bitch in the first place).

Could it be that the pain in his chest has more to do with how often he hangs out at that diner?

Just an observation: He's been dumped by three different chicks, all of whom turned out to be gold diggers. And all of them were black. Now he's rich, and dating three black gold diggers. Dude, I like you, but you have to stop saying, “Fuck you!” after you make the same mistake SIX TIMES.

Ehhh…I prefer the original. The original video didn't have any context so you could sympathize with the guy (“Aw, she left him for a rich guy!”). This video actually tells a full story without much room for interpretation, though, and the whole thing with the girl mopping floors for her bad karma at the end kinda rubs me wrong. It goes from being a lament we can relate to with a VERY catchy tune to an extremely selfish and bitter rant…with a very catchy tune. Love the song, but not this video. Sticking with the open-ended one.

How is he the nice guy? He hurls endless obscenities at the girl simply for choosing a different partner, and when he finally comes across money, he uses it to initiate meaningless relationships with several different women, simply as an act of revenge. Catchy tune though.

Love it because the nice guy gets three (beautiful) women in the end. Nice.

Need that tie.

I only wish the best for this man. His music is just plain enjoyable. No getting around that.
