im from around new orleans and spent a ton of my summer days there since it opened up as jazzland before six flags bought it. this video breaks my heart, and it feels so spooky to drive past it since it closed down. i can see each shot of this video in my mind, filled with people and alive, however i wish there was more of the rides than of old closet doors and corners. they didnt even show the megazeph. someone was trying to buy the park from six flags recently, but it didnt work out. sad that all those memories are now scrap metal :’(

I love this video, but if it was me, I would have been more to the point. Try to make it look like what it is… not so beautiful… ya know?

Every time I drive by this I want to go explore it and do a photo shoot there. Maybe I will next time.

meh, I got bored. But the ending is sad. Can’t believe they’ll sell it for scrap metal. They almost did the same thing here when six flags shut ours down, only someone else bought it.

Too much time spent on each shot. I think it’s an important thing to know about; that New Orleans, more than 5 years later, is still devastated, but I agree with afc: too much cinematography going on, without tugging on my sense of sympathy.

I love this kind of stuff but I kinda feel like the video has a bit too much polish to it. It’s an abandoned amusement park. Where the grit? Make me feel like I’m there, not that I’m watching a cinematography exercise.

TL;DW It is basically the same sloppy tracking shot over and over. Shaky dolly then riff…cut. repeat.
