14-Year-Old Asks Maryland Legislators To Vote No On Gay Marriage For Her Birthday
This is really upsetting.
Today is my 14th birthday and it would be the best birthday present ever if you would vote NO on gay marriage. I really feel bad for the kids who have two parents of the same gender. Even though some kids think it’s fine, they have no idea what kind of wonderful experiences they miss out on. I don’t want more kids to get confused about what’s right and okay. I really don’t want to grow up in a world where marriage isn’t such a special thing anymore.
It’s rather scary to think that when I grow up the legislature or the court can change the definition of any word they want. If they could change the definition of marriage then they could change the definition of any word.
People have the choice to be gay, but I don’t want to be affected by their choice. People say that they were born that way, but I’ve met really nice adults who did change.
So please vote no on gay marriage. Thank you.

adam y. a year agoSo if a conservative person calls someone that they disagree with a “fag,” it’s bullying and a hate crime. But if liberals call a 14 year old girl that they disagree with a “bitch,” a “cunt,” an “asshat,” and an “awful child,” it’s fine and funny? Real classy Buzzfeed. Liberal hatefulness and hypocrisy is astounding. Kudos to the gay guy who said he believes she’s misguided but shouldn’t be ganged up on.

Stupid/ignorant people shouldn’t be allowed to breed. I hope she enjoys her friendless/loveless life, because that’s the only thing people like her get in the end.

meganstokesa a year agoWhat an awful child. Marriage isn’t defined as man and woman but a union of souls. This is complete BS and as long as a child has one or two loving parents gender has no control over this. Being loved is not confusing its what is write. This child is a very sad example of the hatred bred in our society.

Dennis Fanning a year agoBoth my grandparents were married for over 50 years. They had ten kids each. Nearly all those kids have been divorced at least once. Heck, my own marriage lasted under three years and two of those years were spent trying to find out where my wife had run off to with her drug dealer boyfriend. Did gay people ruin those marriages? Nope. All those divorces occurred before anyone anywhere could get gay married. I imagine the ease of getting married, high expectations and fairy tale weddings are a bigger factor in “the loss of specialness.” If two people want to try and be together forever, why not let them try?
