Everyday people tell the world what they're looking for this Valentine's Day.

Here's what we did:

1500+ randomized participants across the country were surveyed to find out which attribute they look for or appreciate most in a significant other. Participants could choose from seven qualities: physical attraction/chemistry, honesty, similar lifestyles or hobbies, sense of humor, financial stability, confidence, and religion.

We then broke down the findings and compared age, sex, and location. Read the full study here.

Survey says honesty wins

Honesty was the winner overall with 36.9% of participants choosing it as the most important or sought after attribute.

Here's what we found:

Although honesty won across the board, there were some big differences between males and females. Especially in the physical attraction/chemistry category where nearly 3x as many men chose physical attraction as women did.
