I'm a single Mom who loves to sing and loves to learn. I've changed a lot in the last 3 years and have grown by leaps and bounds. I beat a lifelong depression without meds, and I feel more and more ready for my future. I know it's a great one, and I can't wait for my dreams to become 'reality'! I grew up in Minneapolis, MN. I lived there from around 1984/85 to the year 2000. I went to the following schools: St. John's Lutheran Grade School (RIP) - Minneapolis, St. Croix Lutheran High School - St. Paul, Menlo Park Alternative High School - Minneapolis. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Music is breathing, and I'd be dead without it. ~*~ I started practicing at singing at the age of 8 or 9 years old, and it has been my greatest passion and best therapy ever since. Some of it can be heard on my YouTube page, although, hearing them now, I realize how badly I over-sang those songs. *cringes*. After wandering through the desert that I called my life for so many years, I've have recently reconnected with my path in life and am, slowly but surely, actively trying to realize my dreams. (Thanks to Steven Wilson, the musician who has transformed my life without even knowing me or my name.) I'm currently going through a lot of growth within, and I can feel myself moving into position for the outer growth on it's way in the coming year. I'm ready for it. Bring it on! :-) ~*~ I've met only around 18 of the people in my Facebook friends in person, one of which is my brother and another my sister. A group of my Facebook friends are people I've never met face-to-face but mean as much to me as my family does. These people -are- my family by soul. I don't want to start naming people for fear my human ways might forget someone, so... I hope you all know who you are!! *group hugs* ~*~ I posted this on the wall of the FB group "I bet I can find 1,000,000 people who believe in gay rights": "I definitely believe in gay rights. People are people and, in the end, we all want the same things: To be happy, to be respected, and to love and be loved. -- There is already a shortage of love in this world. Why put limitations on it? Love is love, no matter what the gender, race or creed. "All you need is love." Who you love doesn't matter. It's the fact that you love that does." I believe to my core that it's wrong to deem people as second or third rate citizens based on things like gender, race, creed, sexual orientation etc. It's one of the many crimes humans commit against each other in their short-sightedness. We are all equal, no matter what belief system you prescribe to or practice. We are all human beings. A human being who is in love with a person of the same gender doesn't become less of a human being because of that. Stop treating The LGBTQ community as such. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Will post more... someday.
