joeb11 11 months agoOkay, let’s be scientific about this: 0:11 - I was gonna say one of the Beatles, but the glasses push it into Buddy Holly or Elvis Costello territory. 0:22 - The sunglasses suggest John Lennon, but the style is closer to the Mods from the Who’s movie Quadrophenia. 0:30 - First clear one: Jim Morrison. 0:43 - Bob Dylan - also unmistakable. 0:59 - No idea. The white tux suggests David Lee Roth, but the wig is wrong. And Diamond Dave didn’t have two tux-wearing backup dudes. Maybe generic doo-wop? Generic R&B group? Lounge singer? 1:13 - Elton John. Back on track. 1:27 - Elvis. Very obvious. 1:42 - David Bowie. Three in a row! 1:52 - Doesn’t seem to be anyone in particular. I’ll say generic punk? 2:04 - Fake Bruce Springsteen complete with fake Clarence Clemons. “Blow, big man!” 2:18 - Did Stevie Nicks wear a lot of scarves? Then Stevie Nicks. Otherwise, I don’t know. 2:30 - Prince. Duh. 2:44 - Kurt Cobain. Double duh. Fake Courtney staggering around in the BG. 2:58 - I’m pretty sure this is Billie Joe Armstrong… guyliner and hairspray. 3:09 - “Weird Al” Yankovic — a god amongst mere mortals. 3:21 - At first I was gonna guess Village People or Devo, but the two extras in the BG make it clear: Beastie Boys. RIP, Adam Yauch. 3:37 - Lady Gaga, right? The blond hair could be anybody, but the caution tape pushes this into Gaga territory. 3:49 - Deadmau5 - No ambiguity here. The glow sticks are a nice touch.
