As thousands of lavishly dressed revelers partied into the night after the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby, 48 year old Adan Fabian Perez laid dead after an apparent struggle only a few feet from the Derby victor I’ll Have Another’s stable. Not much is known other than that Louisville homicide detectives are investigating surveillance tapes and interviewing the mostly transient, underpaid workforce of the Churchill Downs stables. Perez’s body was discovered by his 19 year old son.
