The Queens, N.Y., warehouse, which previously operated as a legal graffiti space, had 80% of its walls covered in white paint. Some of the tags painted over were over two decades old.

The graffiti display was maybe best known for being a truly unique visual for riders of the 7 train subway. This is what 5 Pointz looks like from the 7 train today.
The building also houses numerous artists who fought unsuccessfully to preserve its vibrant exterior.
The building, owned by developer David Wolkoff of G&M Realty, will be renovated and replaced by a pair of luxury condos.
