lmao, this whole thing is bullshit. I love all the comments about how a company is not a person and you are right. However, allow me to point out the majority of companies in America are small family owned closely-held corporations. But the huge conglomerates everyone makes inferences too when discussing corporations. So why is this important distinction important? Well because with most small closely-held companies the OWNERS typically must personally guarantee to get any loans from the bank, because a small company like that can not get financing otherwise. So if the company does go bankrupt, the financiers CAN AND DO go after the owners and the owners personal assets to collect monies owed.
