7 Worst Batman Costumes

Batman is one of the most iconic comic book heroes very much in part due to his kick-ass wardrobe. Most iterations of Batman's "Batsuit" have been extremely cool. When a movie is announced, fanboys and girls drool in anticipation of seeing what cool new way the Dark Knight's suit has been transformed. Unfortunately, when you have a franchise that has been around 75 years, a few mistakes are bound to be made. Here are the worst Batman costumes of all time.

When someone says "What's the worst--", most people's immediate reaction to that sentence fragment is "Nipples Batman". Hands down considered one of the worst costumes of all time in general.

Can we talk about the nipples? Lets talk about the nipples. There are nipples on the suit! Flagrantly unnecessary. You're watching this great movie, trying to pay attention to the ice-credible one-liners by Arnold "The Iceman" Schwarzefreezer in his prime and then BAM! Nipples in your face. Gross. Didn't need um, Clooney! If I wanted nips near my mug I'd breastfeed again.

Also, look at that cape. Looks like a damn shower curtain.

He's lucky he's a spectacular actor. Otherwise, this costume would be completely unforgivable.

I'm gonna get straight to what everyone was thinking. WHITE?! A white Batsuit? Why even make Batman if you're going to put Batman in a friggin' white Batsuit? Thankfully, Clooney learned not to put any nipples on this this one but come on! Who's ever seen a white bat? They're black for crying out loud! Sure some are occasionally albino but that's an extremely rare occurrence in nature and splitting hairs now is never going to fix this mess. The damage is done.

Besides the white point, isn't Batman supposed to be super lean and muscular? This suit makes him look like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Too fat. Fatman is more like it.

Acting wise? Superior Batman-ing. Costume wise? Goose egg.

This Batsuit was outright embarrassing. He looked like a doctor. Not a superhero. Enough said.

No, not enough said. I heard you saying "But doctors are everyday superheroes!"

Shut the hell up. That's not what this is about. This is about how he has nothing covering his head which easily revealed how he was actually Bruce Wayne. You'd think a billionaire genius would be able to create a costume for himself that was more than a loose blue cloth. I guess not. Way to blow it, Clooney.

Acting was A+ Batman material but the Batsuit gets an F--.

I used to love George Clooney. I really did. He could literally do no wrong in my eyes. He had a winning smile and apparently is one of the coolest celebrities to be around. He's friends with Ellen Degeneres! That's how you know he's a real good guy.

Then, out of nowhere, HE PUTS BATMAN IN A 2 PIECE SUIT AND MAKES HIM A FOX? What kind of baloney is that?! I have absolutely no idea how he got this past the studio execs. Maybe he shoved piles of Hollywood money in their faces and promised them sex? Either way, he desecrated almost everything the Batman franchise worked for in one fell swoop with this one.

There are so many issues with this Batsuit I don't even know where to start.

1. There isn't a gadget to be seen. I mean, yeah, he's got a cellphone hanging from his suit pocket but if a cellphone makes you Batman then you'd better start calling ME Batman!

2. The entire get up is a light brown. Batman's catchphrase is supposed to be "I am the night." not "I am the dirt." What happened to all the black?

3. What's with the fox thing? Batman is a bat. Not a fox. If he were a fox, he'd be Foxman. Everything about the series would need to be different for this to make sense.

He at least saved it with his acting. He's a really good actor I'll give him that. It was one of the best Batman performances to date actually. Really made me feel some deep feelings. The costume though? Atrocious.

I'm sweating over this one so I'm moving on.

To give credit where credit is due, George Clooney really put himself out there with this costume. A costume where the entire Batsuit is "TIME Magazine"? Damn risky.

Sometimes in this crazy business we call "show business" you've gotta take risks if you want to be taken seriously. You're not gonna get that shiny heavy Oscar if you're playing too close to the chest every time. You've gotta branch out. Make bold choices. "Fortune favors the bold" so they say.

So did it work out for Clooney? Absolutely not. It was the most contemptibly stupid Batman costume choice of his career. There was no armor below the neck because there was no body below the neck. That was the most irritating part because everything below the neck is always the coolest part of Batman! The Batgloves? The Batility Belt? The nip-less pecs? All absent because his costume choice was being a well respected magazine.

So he'd wear a sweet cowl, right? To cover his face and whatnot? I laugh at your dumb questions and confused face. He wore nothing but perfectly groomed hair which ONCE AGAIN made it extremely easy to identify him as Bruce Wayne.

One of the worst Batman costumes? Forever and ever I will say yes.

How was Clooney's acting? Take a guess. Was phenomenal your guess? Perfect guess.

As the saying goes "When you're Batman once, you're Batman for life." You have to take great care in how you present yourself after you've been chosen because you're always repping Batman. The Batman name is sacred and is given to a select, great few who typify all that is the night. All that is self-control. All that is justice.

...and here he is besmirching the Batman name with an INVISIBLE SUIT that has GOD DAMN NIPPLES ON IT AGAIN. WHAT'S WITH THE NIPPLES, CLOONEY?!

Do you wake up in the morning an pour yourself a bowl of nipples, wash it down with a glass of nipples, get in your nipple and drive to nipple acting work place? What the hell is wrong with you, man? We're sick of the nipples! You should have learned that the first time. It's WEIRD. It makes people uncomfortable. What other superhero brazenly displays their nipples like that? The Nippler? He's not even real. I just made him up to prove a point. Think about your choices next time, Clooney. You have a lot of them available to you.

I wish I didn't love him as an actor so much because this costume is straight garbage. I really hope someone threw it out.
