The king of Boston sandwiches is here for a new era...

Sam LaGrassa's is one of god's heaven gardens on earth. You might agree with me or not, it does not matter that much to be honest, especially if you have not tried it before. How & why?

Sam LaGrassa's is located in downtown Boston close to Suffolk University's campus, it specializes in making sandwiches that are an ideal lunch choice for many in the busy downtown area. Although it is closed on weekends to rest, Sam LaGrassa's serves its packed space daily till 3:30 pm. I would say that the best time for you come in is around one hour before the closing time, it is not that crowded at the time.

Okay okay, why do I call this place a heaven on earth? Just like that?

Sam LaGrassa's has been making speciality sandwiches since 1968. It is a family owned restaurant, therefore, family values, love and care are spread on every sandwich. With fresh ingredients, each sandwich is made to order to every customer.

Once you become familiar with Sam LaGrassa's you will know by then that pastrami sandwiches and pickles are to die for in this heavenly one and only garden of Boston.

So let's talk about this glorious sandwich you see in front of you, I know, you can not take your eyes off it and it is called the Chipotle Pastrami Sandwich. When I took my first bite of this magnificent creation, life suddenly had a different new meaning for me. I have never expected that to happen, it was like having an orgasm, in your mouth. You might find it hard to imagine but trust me, you will get there soon.

What makes this sandwich legendary is the equality of distribution in ingredients on each bite. Meaning, you will feel the hotness of the chipotle sauce and then you will be bombarded with the delicacy of the perfectly cooked meat. Soon after that you will be in the middle of the calming taste of the coleslaw, however that won't last too long when you feel the amazing tanginess of the mustard which will make you believe in the superiority of this restaurant over all other sandwich makers in Boston. With all of that, don't forget the perfectly placed swiss cheese slices between the meats and the italian sesame roll. In fact, everything in this sandwich screams with confidence: I'm the best, anyone dares to challenge me?

However, and because no one is perfect, I still have some takes on it. Not only on the sandwich but for the restaurant in general, I wish if it becomes somehow cheaper, at least to the level of other similar lunch options in the area. Even though I do love this place but I can not come here on a regular bases. $22 for a meal of a Sandwich, a soda and fries is a bit too much to be honest.

Still, if you are visiting Boston I strongly recommend you to stop by for a treat to yourself with any of its many excellently crafted sandwiches. Live an experience you will never forget in a place that many food critiques and eaters consider as one of the very locally and nationally at the same time despite its limited hours. Man look like I can not let go of the limited hours thing!
