You know what's interesting about this is that every major news outlet is freaking the hell out about this, and foxnews.com buried it. It's not on the front page, it's not even on the front page of US stories. You have to delve deep into the military section to find it.

And yet, it is the Taliban who are busy throwing acid in the face of little school girls. It is the Taliban who enslave the children of indebted farmers, forcing girls to become child brides, selling boys as sexual slaves, and keeping many for their own sexual use. It is the Taliban who stone rape victims to death and who flog women with audacity not to be fully covered and accompanied by a relative in public. It is the Taliban who target unarmed civilian aid workers and behead journalists.  the taliban are evil. people who kill and piss on the taliban are not.  And remember, the US has the power to defeat the Taliban with one bomb, leaving nothing but “The Waziristan crater”. Do you think the Taliban, if able, would exercise that kind of “humane” restraint?  and anybody seen “the pacific”? remember what the marines did the bodies of dead japanese soldiers?

I seem to remember during the Iraq war, 4 us contractors were drug from their car through the streets, hung from a bridge, beaten, and burned. I also remember soldiers, citizens, and reporters being beheaded on camera in both Afghanistan and Iraq. I understand that urinating on a corpse is no better, but let us remember people, this is war. Atrocities are going to be committed unfortunately. The fact of the matter is this is just another reason for an already hostile region to hate us. This was not a wise or honorable action, however this is war and war never changes.

There those Marines are on camera doing that thing. That's their character. That's exactly what it indicates. If it weren't their character they wouldn't have done it.

Meh, if I was a marine fighting people who had killed my friends and I managed to kill a few of them, I'd probably piss on them too. Wouldn't tape though, but then again intelligence isn't a prerequisite for being a good marine.

If members of the American military do things of this sort, the moral high ground of which they speak has to be abandoned.
How can the United States stand in front of other nations be they tyrannical or not, and claim America is the beacon of morality which they should follow?
The actions depicted in the video might not be indicative of all the marines core value, but it has been proven time and time again, that it only takes a few idiotic decisions to irreparably damage a cause one claims to be good.
