Well, if the shoe fits…

Why? Because he’s a successful black man with a foreign-sounding name whose ideology is slightly progressive, and because we live in a country whose populace is poorly-informed, highly reactionary, extremely xenophobic and still deeply racist.  Any legitimate criticism of Obama or his administration is drowned in the avalanche of knee-jerk conservative douchebags tripping over themselves to rage at every single thing associated with him.

They are plenty of good criticisms of Obama. None of them are republican though.

Well, the majority of them are. Most specific anti-Obama arguments are easily countered. That leaves idealogical differences that are not going to change.
