I love Rdio, but the act of incessantly performing your taste in music in public can be psychologically draining — I felt so free the first time I put a CD into a car this summer and realized no one knew what I was listening to. In its first big privacy move, Rdio now has protected accounts designed to let you listen to the worst music in the whole world without anyone but your friends knowing. A little better, but I'd like to hide it from them sometimes, too.
