The New Nick Denton Commenting Manifesto

Gawker — where John and I worked once upon a time not very long ago — just launched a new commenting system that’s going to save commenting on the internet as we know it. The most interesting feature, for reals, is the burner account, “a new way to submit information or commentary without associating any real identity,” because there’s “no username, email address or password that could compromise your identity.” Of course, it’s the things on the other end leakers should worry about, as Joe Muto is discovering.
