I've Been Wondering Where Microsoft's Ebook Game Is

Apple has ebooks; Amazon has ebooks; Google has ebooks. Microsoft does not, at least in any form that people, like, use. So its $300 million "strategic investment" for a 17.6 percent stake in a new Barnes & Noble subsidiary that's all about digital reading (i.e., the Nook) makes a fair amount of sense. I kind of hope they stick with the placeholder name of the new company, Newco — it's very 1984.
