I can’t believe people are actually claiming these to be fake. Really? Just because we live in a time where this wouldn’t fly, doesn’t mean everyone did.

I am really amazed at the negative response, one even thinking they were fake, one criticizing that some one would reprint them. look they are real and two we need too be reminded of just how ignorant we were as a society not too long ago, and remind of just how far we come as a society in a whole. not a perfect one but a growing one. did I laugh and chuckle, yes, why because it’s hard too believe we were that ignorant back then, funny thing is that tame, compared to the idea back as late early 1900.

They are real. I have some old Life magazines from the 1960s that are full of them. There’s an ad for some brand of Scotch that shows a woman who is pregnant, in a dress, high heels and an apron, pouring a drink to hand to her husband who is just coming home from work… so WRONG on SO many levels. There are several reasons why the show is called “Mad Men’!

I’m nearly sixty years old, and recall many of those ads. They’re not fake. And yeah, today, any company that tried to run any of them would have the ACLU all over ‘em, at the very least!

That Sega ad is pretty awesome. I think I remember seeing that in a comic book. Only place it would have flyed.

These are obviously fake, which means some sick individuals thought it would be funny to make fake ads depicting women being abused and humiliated, as well as promoting pedophilia and racism.
