I’d like to see all the “I could draw like this when I was 9” and “don’t all 9 year olds draw like this” naysayers draw something as well as the dinosaur skeleton or Capilla Del Carmen

After reading the comments, it seems that either I am the only one who’s noticed it or no one wants to admit it… but doesn’t the “LILAC BREASTED ROLLER” look like the scene from A Bugs Life??

is this fucking serious? i, and about 20 other kids, all went through art classes together starting at 4th/5th grade and could pull this out of our asses too. this isnt that rare. everyone is talented in different areas; just because you cant draw doesnt mean no one else in the world can.

i really like them. reminds me of picasso in some ways. if someone were to say he was older people would probably realize its better than they think.

Some of these are remarkably good (the first two, for example), while the rest don’t show that much vision or talent. There’s nothing that special about the “Eubie in Concert” or the “Model T.”  As someone said, he’s probably a bit more interested (and a bit more talented) in art than the average person, and he’s had the support to follow through with it.  I’ve seen very good (non-abstract) art by elementary kids who simply don’t have the dedication to do something with their talent.

I should have paid more attention in art class.

His stuff is great. I think people see semi-shaky lines and stuff that looks imperfect, and automatically assume it’s easy to recreate. I see a ton of kids’ artwork on the daily, from 2 year olds to 15 year olds, and I can say -definitively- that his work is way above par.
